Ilaria Ribezzi began her piano studies at a very young age and followed the study of singing with mezzo-soprano Biancamaria Casoni. She continued her training and further education at Teatro alla Scala Choir Academy in Milan, Osimo Art Academy and on 2015 Chigiana Academy in Siena. She is currently perfecting with M ° Fernando Cordeiro Opa. She won the Rose Ponselle Music Execution Competition and received the young prize at the International Sacred Music Competition in Rome.
As a solo mezzo-soprano, she elegantly tackled different repertoires ranging from ancient music (Vivaldi, Händel, Haydn, Pergolesi, Mozart) to romantic and contemporary music (Saint-Säens, Liszt), especially in chamber and symphonic repertoire, appearing on several important concert halls as Teatro di Udine with Savona Symphony Orchestra and Symphonic Orchestra Tito Schipa of Lecce, and collaborating also with renamed Maestros as Filippo Maria Bressan, Carlo Tenan, Marcello Panni, Andrea Crastolla, Massimo. Quarta, Francesco Bossaglia and Giulio Prandi.
In sacred/concert repertoire she has become soloist voice for Pergolesi’s ‘Stabat Mater’, Haydn ‘Theresienmesse’ (Basilica di Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan), Vivaldi’s ‘Stabat Mater‘, ’Gloria’ RV589 and ‘Magnificat’ RV11 (under Crastolla’s batton), ‘Paukenmesse‘ by Haydn (conducted by Bressan), Rossini’s “Petite Messe Solennelle” (Czech Museum of Music in Prague) and Beethoven 9thSymphony (Symphonic Orchestra Tito Schipa di Lecce and Maestro Quarta). In September 2017 she performed the main role on “HAYE – Le parole, la notte”, unpublished drama by Mauro Montalbetti conducted by Maestro Bossaglia (Teatro Ariosto in Reggio Emilia).
In operatic repertoire she has played roles as Zulma in ‘L’italiana in Algeri’ (Teatro Comunale di Sassari, La Stella/Vizioli), Amenofi in ‘Mosè in Egitto’ (Teatro Verdi di Pisa and Teatro Coccia di Novara, Pasqualetti/Mucci), Suzuki in ‘Madama Butterfly’ (Teatro Massimo Bellini di Catania, Fratta/Privitera) and Isaura in ‘Tancredi’ (Juliusz Słowacki Theater in Krakow for Royal Opera Festival, Pascoli/Schönleber).
Among her recent and future commitments: ‘Madama Butterfly’ (Teatro Pergolesi in Jesi, Teatro Mario Del Monaco in Treviso and Teatro Comunale di Ferrara), and soloist voice in Mozart “Requiem” (alongside to Magna Grecia Orchestra of Taranto) and Händel “Messiah”.
